Cross Country
St Pius X Catholic school participated in Cross Country on Friday 24 August. The students competed in it so that was very exciting. The teachers were the ones that were holding the flags and I saw the parents cheering for their children.
All of the children were sitting in their ages the boys\girls versed each other. Finally it was the nine year olds turn to run. Miss G had blown the whistle so the boys could go then the girls had to step to the yellow line then Miss G said “ready steady and go”. She blew the whistle and we ran really fast. When I was running I saw Mr Gaffney and I ran some more then I saw Mrs Modely holding a flag. She held it on the road so we could cross. I was so tired, after awhile I started to jog and I was running with my friend Ierei. Ierei said “I am really tired” and I said “don’t give up, try your best”. Suddenly I noticed we were almost at school then I saw Miss G. There was one thing that I didn’t know….....we had to go around the courts and I saw Siniva from Room 6. I past her and I went around the cones and back to my line.
At the end of it I was puffed, it felt like I was going to die. St Pius X Catholic school participated in Cross Country on Friday 24 August. The students competed in it so that was very exciting.
