PAT Maths Test

Today's test was very overwhelming because maths is one of my weakest subjects in school.

I was so frustrated when I was doing the test because it was getting harder by the minute but I tried my VERY BEST.
When I finished the test I was very happy because it was finished.
I hope I did well.

Basic Facts

Basic Facts
This week for addition I got 100 right out of 100 and my time was 6:55
This week for subtraction I got right out of 100 and my time was 8:27
My goal is to be fast and accurate.

This week the maths strategy I have learned is:
1. using arrays to solve x problems
2. using my 5 x to solve 6, 7, 8, 9 x problems
3. using compensation to solve x problems
4. using compensation and place value to solve x problems
Here is an example of how to use it:
             x    3     x    4
1. 4x3, 5x4      000        11111
                4    000    5  11111
                      000        11111
                      000        11111
2. 6x6, 8x7

pictogram

We are learning about statistical literacy. This
means reading and writing about statistics.
We learned about pictograms.
One of the most important things
to look for the key.
The key is important because it tells
you how much the picture is worth.
Here is an example of a pictogram.

Fractions-week5

A fraction is a piece of a whole.
Fraction is like dividing.
Fractions can be ordered.
My favourite thing about fractions so far is when Miss G talks about cakes.

Learning intention: Understanding the place value of numbers

My maths group is learning the place value of numbers. We learned

by this game IXL. When you see a big cube it shows the thousands place.

If you see a small cube it shows the ones place and the hundreds one

makes 101.
